Can I acid wash the surface of my pool?
How do I heat up my pool if I don’t have a heater?
The short answer is to cover your pool. Sometimes that requires just using a physical cover that is cut specifically for your pool or you can use a chemical bought online or at your local pool store to provide a synthetic cover for your pool. The best decision is to simply purchase a heater, that option can be very expensive though.
You can go online and just get a physical cover and a roller for fractions less than to buy a heater. Put this on and cut it to size for your pool, in my opinion about one month prior to use. This can also be used in addition to heating up your pool if you have a heater. When it’s time to pull the cover off or you’re not using the pool, you can always put the cover back on to keep the water warm for the next time you choose to use the pool. Keep it on over the winter and take it off when the temperature is outside reach temperature that you would want to swim in.
There is also a chemical option, you can buy a chemical online that specifically caters to putting a cover and Sheen over your pool that acts very much like the physical cover. It’s less invasive and will filter out after a matter of months. This is a great option for those who don’t want to cover their pool, even if the pool is not being used. This will assist in heating up the water as warmer temperatures break through the cold.
These are going to be the more cost-effective options of making your pool warmer coming out of winter.
